The brilliant industrialist Late Shri Parmanand Deepchand Hinduja established the K.P.B. Hinduja College of Commerce in 1974. The philanthropist, who was concerned about the welfare of humanity, donated a portion of the proceeds from his startup companies to philanthropic causes, particularly in the areas of education and healthcare, which he regarded to be every person’s fundamental rights. The K.P.B. Hinduja College of Commerce is regarded as one of Mumbai’s top universities and has received the ISO 9001 Certification.
There were 400 students enrolled when it first opened in 1974, and as of this writing, there are roughly 7000; the number of teachers has expanded from 12 to 105. The institution, which began with just one Commerce course, now provides 41 courses spanning the Higher Secondary level and up to the doctoral level, with streams in the Arts, Sciences, and Commerce.

In the centre of Mumbai’s suburbs, Santacruz, sits the L. S. Raheja College of Arts & Commerce, operated by Sadhana Education Society (West). It is a Gujarati-speaking institution serving a linguistic minority and providing quality education from upper secondary to doctoral programmes.
The Malati Jayant Dalal Nursery School and S.B. Kindergarten were also established by the Society in 1975. In order to bring education from preschool to doctoral level under one roof and to encourage students’ overall development, the Society established L. S. Raheja College of Arts & Commerce in 1980. 

 On the eve of the late Lala Lajpatrai’s birth centennial celebration in 1959, the Lala Lajpatrai Memorial Trust was established to advance the causes that meant so much to Lalaji. The cause of education was always foremost in Lalaji’s mind, despite the fact that he was engaged in virtually all the domains of activities enhancing national and social life. Our late Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri believed that founding a higher education institution would be the most appropriate approach to honour the legacy of the great patriot.
On the Lala Lajpatrai Road in Hajiali, there is a college that is associated with the University of Mumbai.

History clearly shows that classrooms quickly became full. The College was founded on ideals and is situated on 123 Dinshaw Wachha Road, at the intersection of the road that faces the University of Mumbai with its majestic clock tower.
The principal of Seth Hassaram Rijhumal is H.C. Malkani. Principals Jyotu Kundnani, K.M. Kundnani, and H.C. Malkani Despite the fact that another commerce college was begun in Karachi the same year as the Hyderabad Sind campus of what is now known as the Hassaram Rijhumal College of Commerce & Economics, the young institution had to be swiftly abandoned in the tempest of Partition.

The SIES Arts, Science, and Commerce College was a gift from the South Indians in Mumbai to the then-young State of Maharashtra, and it was opened on June 20, 1960 by Shri Y. B. Chavan, the first Chief Minister of Maharashtra, to serve the constantly expanding educational needs of students from the North and Central Mumbai Suburbs. In 1980–81, the degree-level Commerce Stream was created. The college, which is associated with the University of Mumbai, enrols an astonishing 4,000 students, who come from all facets of this diverse metropolis.

Dr. Akhtar Hasan Rizvi founded the Rizvi Education Society in 1982 with the goal of realising his ideal of creating a “small university” that would serve a range of educational interests and goals. In the academic year 1985–1986 the Rizvi College of Arts, Science & Commerce was established. This was just the first in a string of prosperous endeavours that were to come. It was astounding how quickly one professional institute followed another. The Rizvi Educational Empire has reached previously unheard-of heights today. We currently operate 22 institutes, including ones in Mumbai, Jaunpur, and Allahabad (Kaushambi, Karari).
Senior College offers programmes leading to degrees in B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.M.M., B.M.S., B.B.I., B.A.F., B.Sc. (Computer Science), B.Sc. (I.T.), and M.Com. The college is affiliated with the University of Mumbai.
The Junior College is authorised to teach F.Y.J.C. and S.Y.J.C. classes as well as vocational courses in electronics, computer science, and information technology by the Education Department, the Maharashtra Government, and the H.S.C. Board.
The college has a research centre that is associated with the University of Mumbai and offers a Ph.D. in chemistry as well as an M.Sc. in zoology, chemistry, botany, and business.

A group of former teachers of D.J. Sind College in Karachi and other esteemed educators created Jai Hind College, Autonomous, Mumbai shortly after India gained its independence in 1948, principally with the purpose of rehabilitating the Sindhi community’s educational system. Their objective was to offer their talents, knowledge, and expertise in order to establish a top-notch educational institution.
Beginning as a modest two-room college that only offered courses in the Arts stream, it quickly expanded to offer Science in 1949 and then Commerce in 1980. A number of “Self-financed” and “Vocational” courses, such as Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM), Bachelor of Accounting and Finance (BAF), Bachelor of Banking and Insurance (BBI), Bachelor of Financial Market (BFM), and Bachelor of Vocational Studies in Travel & Tourism Management (B. Voc. TT) and Software Development, were introduced by the college after 2000 to help students find employment after graduation (B. Voc. SD).
