Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved & Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune has established itself as a leader in the nation’s Ayurveda education and clinical services. It received a “A” rating from NAAC in 2016, making it the only ayurveda college in India. The institute was also approved by NABH in 2017.
The Undergraduate Course (BAMS) has an intake of 100 students per year. The Post Graduate courses have an intake of 80 and are available in all 14 subjects. In the Ph. D. courses, students can research in 7 subjects like Kayachikitsa, Panchakarma, Stri-roga, Samhita Siddhant, Shalyatantra, Swasthavritta, and Rognidan.

Shri Gajanan Maharaj Santhan is social trust situated in Pusad Town. To give an opportunity to devotees of in and around the area, the resolution to establish temple of Shri Gajanan Maharaj was passed on 15/09/1977, Huge double storey temple was built in the area of 10000 sq. ft. On June 26, 1933, the first and oldest “AYURVEDA MAHAVIDYALAYA” in Pune was founded. In 1962, it was renamed “Tilak Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya” by Yashvantrao Chavan, the chief minister at the time.
Ayurveda by Tilak Mahavidyalaya, with a 75-year history, has helped the community by producing distinguished medical professionals. Approximately 7000 UG students and 1100 PG students have graduated from this Institute to far and are now effectively employed in a variety of fields. In June 1989–1990, the College was founded by our illustrious founder, Shri. Padmakarrao Haribhau Mulay, with the goal of revitalising the oldest medical science in India. The Central Council of Indian Medicine and Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi, are connected with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and have given their approval to the CSMSS Ayurved Mahavidayalya and Ruganalaya.
